The troops have landed!  Yes, the kids made it here yesterday around noon.  Meg hit the sack for a few hours, she is sleeping for two, and Marsha, Ron, and myself hit the bricks.  We stopped at the Cafe Quasimodo for lunch, Croque Monsieur for me and Onion Soup for Marsha and Ron.  Nine euros for a bowl of soup, and the same for half a litre of beer.  We then wandered around the quarter for a bit, and went to McDonalds to use the Pissoir.

We did a little shopping at the store that is on street level beneath us.  A few hours of catching up on life, love and the peculiar nature of knowing how your family's farts smell, we went out to dinner.  This time we went deep into the Latin Quarter to find food.  Beef Bourguignon for the group, and more wine.  And then we did a little more shopping.  It was the coldest Paris evening that we have endured.  Meg and Ron walked down to the Hotel de Ville to watch the ice skaters....for a minute, and returned to the warmth of our home.
