Christmas In Paris 2005 The Cluny Museum (Museé National Moyen Age) is dedicated to the Middle ages. When Marcellus Wallace threatened to get Medieval on Zed's ass, I don't think he had the Cluny museum in mind. Marsha and I have walked past the Cluny 30 times this year, it is just down the block. It has a courtyard that has plants from the times that the collection are dated from, and it looked much nicer this summer, than it does now, with winter finally here. Flowers still bloom here in this city, which I am unsure of the meaning. Either the flowers are very hearty or the city toughens them up. This is a great place to lose yourself in. All of the things that were created before Columbus left for a new route to India. This place has one of the oldest and best collections of textile arts in the word. The tapestries featuring the Lady and the Unicorn are world famous. There are other things like the papal miters with hinges, real brass hinges, amazed Marsha. She was convinced that hinges had not invented at the time that these head dresses were created. So much of the architecture features stained glass |
